If you own (or are working on) an older home, and the windows have weights in the walls, consider that a hollow place exists. That void, or hollow space, needs to be insulated to assure total air tightness. If the insulation is not used, the best window in the world will be drafty and of course, you must include exterior capping on the casings. Remember a warm home helps you (or your customer) to be comfortable and save money on those high heating bills.
